Renter-Friendly
No drilling, no damage, fully reversible.
Renting in the UK usually means no drilling, no adhesive that lifts paint, and a deposit you would like to see again. That rules out most wall-mounted storage but leaves more options than people expect.
Tension rods, over-door hooks, freestanding units, stackable crates and removable hooks rated for the surface will cover a lot of ground. Adhesive strips vary hugely: they generally struggle on textured wallpaper, freshly painted walls and anything damp, and always need the weight rating checked against what you are hanging.
Check your tenancy agreement before making any change, and take photographs of walls and fittings when you move in. Nothing here is legal advice, and nothing we feature is a guarantee that a landlord will accept it.
